Everyday we give thanks,
To God up above.
He protects us from getting sick,
He always shows us His love.
Sometimes there are ‘special ones’,
He likes to shine through.
You never know, could it be?
Someday me or you?
God, you give us trials,
To show us we are strong.
At times we’re angry with you,
Because we don’t feel that we belong.
You open up the doors,
When we feel all closed in.
You put songs in our hearts,
You lead us to begin.
The trials and suffering,
That we usually feel.
Turns into fruit for Your glory,
To let people know Your real.
Lord, Light the fire,
That burns so strongly in me.
Give me the strength, give me the courage,
So, Canada can be set free.
God, put down your gentle touch,
With your loving hand.
Hold us, cradle us,
God, help us find unity in our land.
See my hearts desire,
See Jon’s gentle ways.
Guide us, never leave us,
Be with us each new day.
God help our country,
To pitch in and share.
Most of all SHINE through us,
On the tour, that THIS CANADA cares.
